NOBLESVILLE PARKS DEPARTMENT TO DEBUT FOOT GOLF
 
(Noblesville, IN)….  Attention soccer players, coaches, fans, parents, and soccer lovers—come to Fox Prairie Golf Course and get your kicks!  On Saturday, September 27, the Noblesville Parks Department will introduce its newest offering—foot golf.  As the name indicates, foot golf is a combination of soccer and golf.  An 18 hole accredited foot golf course is being constructed within the west nine holes at Fox Prairie Golf Course and will be the seventh such course in Indiana.  Players tee up in groups like golf and begin each hole by kicking a soccer ball from the tee.  They then kick the ball until it lands in the special 21” hole while utilizing the etiquette and rules of traditional golf.  Traditional golf attire is preferred and no cleats will be allowed.  Soccer flats or tennis shoes should be worn.

PARADE GRAND MARSHAL ANNOUNCED
(Noblesville, IN)…. Mayor John Ditslear announced today that the grand marshal of this year’s Christmas parade will be Jim Wafford.  Wafford is the owner of three Noblesville businesses:  Logan Street Signs & Banners, Noblesville Trophies, and The Wafford Theater.  Through the years, he has been a supporter of many nonprofit organizations in Noblesville and is a member of the Sunrisers Kiwanis, the Noblesville Chamber of Commerce, and the Noblesville Fireworks Festival Committee.  He has also created a number of websites for the community including HamiltonCountyTV.com which shows local sports and events as well as classic movies and TV shows.

REGISTRATION OPEN FOR THE PARKS DEPARTMENT’S FALL BREAK CAMP
 
(Noblesville, IN)…. Kids ages seven through twelve years old are invited to attend the one week Parks Vacation Camp from Monday, October 13 through Friday, October 17.  The Noblesville Parks Department and the Boys and Girls Club of Noblesville are partnering for this camp which will be based at The Lodge in Forest Park and will take place during the first week of the Noblesville Schools Fall Break.  Each day, participants will travel by bus to nearby locations to enjoy activities at each destination.  In addition to Noblesville’s parks, the group will visit the Boys & Girls Club’s Camp Crosser, Holliday Park in Indianapolis, Ritchey Woods in Fishers, Ft. Benjamin Harrison State Park, and Cooper’s Stardust Bowl in Noblesville.  All park entrance fees and program fees are included in the camp registration cost.
            All park visits will include both indoor and outdoor activities, so all children must be dressed to be outdoors for part of each day. Camp will run regardless of weather.  Morning and afternoon
